Voigtländer was founded in 1955 by Hans Voigtländer. The focus then was material for the securing of evidence.

In 1985 Voigtländer was taken over by the Buchmeier family and continued until April 2007.

Since May 2007, Voigtländer has been managed by Dieter Meister, implementing a succession plan.

Today the headquarters of Voigtländer in Stuttgart focus on equipment production for the latent fingerprint investigation. Our subsidiary in Blumberg distributes police equipment and materials for crime scene/ forensic investigation.
